Highly Selective Perchlorate Membrane Electrode Based on Synthesized Schiff Base Complex

In this work we introduce a practical use of synthesized Schiff base metal complex in sensing application. A new perchlorate-selective electrode based on the complex N, N'-4-nitro-phenylmethanebis-(salicylaldiminato) copper (II) [CuL] as the membrane carrier was developed. The electrode exhibits a good  Nernstian slope of -55.0 ± 1.0 mV/decade and a linear range of  for perchlorate. The lim...

A new lead(II)-selective PVC-coated graphite rod electrode based on a Schiff base complex.

A new lead(II)-selective electrode has been developed based on bis(acetylacetone)-p-phenylenediamine-lead(II) [LPb(NO3)2]H2O complex ionophore as a sensing material, dioctylphthalate (DOP) as a solvent mediator and PVC as a matrix. This electrode exhibits a linear Nernstian response over the concentration range of 1 x 10(-5)-1 x 10(-1) mol l(-1) of Pb(II) cation, with a cationic calibration slo...

Perchlorate-selective polymeric membrane electrode based on bis(dibenzoylmethanato)cobalt(II) complex as a neutral carrier.

A synthesized bis(dibenzoylmethanato)Co(II) complex (Co(DBM)(2)), has been used as a ionophore for the preparation of a new perchlorate ion-selective electrode. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian response over the perchlorate concentration range of 8.0x10(-7)-1.0x10(-1)M with a slope of 60.3+/-0.5 mV per decade of concentration. The limit of detection as determined from the intersection of the ...

Iodide selective membrane electrode based on copper (Π)-bis-Nphenilsalicyldenaminato complex

An iodide ion-selective PVC membrane sensor based on copper (Π)-bis-Nphenilsalicyldenaminatocomplex as a novel sensing material is successfully developed. Theelectrode showed a good selectivity for iodide ion with respect to common inorganic anions. Thesensor exhibited a good linear response with slope of _58.6 ± 0.4 mV per decade over theconcentration range of 5.0 × 10-6 to 1.0 × 10-1 mol L-1,...

Highly selective iodide membrane electrode based on a cerium salen.

A highly selective PVC membrane electrode based on a cerium-salen complex was prepared. The sensor displays an anti-Hofmeister selectivity sequence with a preference for iodide ion over many common organic and inorganic anions. The proposed electrode exhibits a near-Nernstian behavior over a wide concentration range (5.0 x 10(-2) - 8.0 x 10(-6) M) with a slope of 57.5 mV per decade, and a detec...

Binuclear Schiff base complex of manganese(III) as a neutral carrier for a highly selective iodide electrode.

A new highly selective iodide electrode incorporating a binuclear manganese(III) complex, bis(salicylaldehyde-aminopropanol)dichloroaceticdimanganese(III) [Mn(III)(2)-BSAPDCA], as a neutral carrier is described. The electrode displays an anti-Hofmeister selectivity sequence: iodide >> perchlorate > salicylate > thiocyanate > nitrate > bromide > nitrite > chloride > sulfate. The excellent select...
